Fiberglass Stair Treads

Molded Fibertred stair treads provide exceptional strength and slip resistance for pedestrians. By installing a fiberglass staircase, business owners reduce liability and signal their concern for employee health. Fibertred's slight flex is more comfortable for workers knees and ankles as it gives when stepped on, unlike aluminum, wood or concrete.

Made with the same glass fibers and resin found in our fire-retardant fiberglass gratings, Fibertred molded treads resist high impacts, corrosion, and chemical exposure. They are available with one of two surfaces: standard meniscus or epoxy bonded mineral abrasive grit.

Fabricators can cut molded FRP stair tread by utilizing the designated channels spaced at 6” intervals. The treads sit 1-1/2” deep with 1-1/2” x 6” mesh and have a solid FRP nosing for sure footing. 

Bridge the span on a wide FRP staircase with Safe-T-Span pultruded stair treads. With more uni-directional strength than most stair tread products, pultruded treads represent the ideal solution for wide flights of stairs.

Available with I-shaped or T-shaped load bars, Safe-T-Span fiberglass-reinforced treads have a slip-resistant grit surface. They are also corrosion-resistant, non-conductive, and impact-resistant, making them a versatile solution for several major industrial applications.

Color options include dark gray with yellow nosing and yellow grating with dark gray nosing. Pultruded fiberglass stair treads are manufactured in 24 foot lengths before they are cut to size to accommodate FRP staircases of all widths. 

Enjoy a solid stepping surface with covered fiberglass treads. The flat fiberglass coverings on top of the FRP gratings create a 50% firmer, more stable walking surface. The stair treads’ cover is made of fiberglass plate and is available in fine grit for bare feet or coarse grit for shoes.

Ideal for universities, hotels, office complexes, amusement parks, and other high-traffic venues, these fiberglass outdoor steps come in the standard light-gray Corvex® resin. Several premium colors are also available.

The fiberglass stair nosing comes in a standard yellow color. Glow-in-the-dark nosing is also available for theaters, auditoriums, and the emergency exits of other high-capacity buildings. Lightweight and low maintenance, fiberglass tread stair covers are the most affordable option when upgrading a flight of stairs.
